Update

I’m awful at blogging! It looks like I haven’t blogged in a few months. Well a lot has changed since I last posted. Jason and I celebrated our 2year anniversary, we found out we are expecting twin girls, we moved to a new place, and we both have had job changes.

We ended up celebrating our 2 year anniversary at Deer Lake. Jason’s parents were kind enough to let us use their Lake House. We didn’t do much as I was already about 2months pregnant at that point and was experiencing a lot of morning sickness. We did end up relaxing and just enjoying one another’s company.

We ended up moving into our now current place in July. We were needing to upgrade our housing situation. Now when I say upgrade, I mean a place that had an extra bedroom. This place is okay, I suppose. We plan on only staying here for about a year as Jason and I have been playing around with the idea of buying a home. We hope this is what God has planned for us as it would be nice to be free of the rental companies. :) We’ll see though.

In other news, Jason has been interning at Schweitzer Engineering Lab in Pullman, WA this summer. They ended up offering him a full time position, which was an answer to our prayers! Praise the Lord! He has been working there as a full time employee for about 2 weeks now. This is such a great company to work for as they are really flexible with your schedule. This will allow Jason to continue working towards his Ph.D in Electrical Engineering. He will be really busy as he will have work, school work, and research work. When second semester starts he will also be even more busy as we will have two little ones added to our little family. I will need to try and keep the stress at home under control. ;) As for me with my work situation, I have given my notice at Pullman Family Medicine and will be working till the end of August. This will allow me to have more time to rest and to get ready for the babies, since there is still so much to do to get ready.

I am about 21 weeks now and we found out the sex of the babies about a week ago. TWIN GIRLS!!! We ended up surprising our families with the reveal of the sexes of the babies by doing a big get together. My mom bought a ice cream cake and had it decorated with lavender and pink. We ended up revealing the sex of the babies by just revealing the cake. Everyone seemed really surprised that it was girls! So much fun to see people’s reactions! We are truly blessed and could not be more happy to have two healthy babies on the way! God is good!

Jason and I actually ended up buying our cribs and changing table as we wanted to make sure we had the big items we really need. We looked around at different places for cribs that we liked but couldn’t find any except for one that we found at Costco. It was the only place that seemed to have cribs that converted to a toddler bed, a day bed, and a full size bed and was no extra cost for the conversion pieces. We thought this was a good buy. So we now have started our baby gear collection with the 2 cribs, changing table, a diaper bag, a few outfits and a few nursery decorations. Still so much more to get and do!
