Deck the Halls

We got our first true snowfall today…..

the back of our house

the front of our house

Since we are starting to get back into the swing of things after getting home from the Thanksgiving holiday I decided to decorate the house for Christmas.

I started putting decorations up while the girls were napping. I started with the tree.

Then I moved to little Christmas knick-knacks.

The girls snowglobes that they got from us last year

The girls nutcrackers they got from us last year

Then it was time for the girls to get up from their nap, so they got to check out the tree. They really liked the lights.

Then it was time for dinner and off to bed for the girls so Jason and I could decorate the tree. I decided to make things simple this year, so I didn’t put my pretty ribbon on the tree (which I usually do). I didn’t want to have to worry about working around my pregnant belly to put it on the tree and to take it off the tree in January.

I think the tree still turned out looking really pretty.

I also put our Christmas stockings up. I usually do garland and lights on the banister, but I did not want to worry about the messy garland, plus it is a lot of work to get it to stay where you want it.

I already ordered Baby Boy Graham’s stocking, so once it is delivered I will hang it up with the rest of them. :)

Hope everyone is enjoying getting ready for Christmas! Now it is time for us to get ready for the girls birthday which is 1 1/2 weeks away! :)
