I made playdough for the girls yesterday and we got to play with it today after naptime.
They girls have tried playing with store bought playdough in the past, but they tried eating it. Since I was worried about them eating playdough I just decided to make my own so I would know it was edible and safe to eat, if they decided to eat it! ;)
This is the recipe I used to make the homemade playdough.
- 1 cup of flour
- 1 cup of boiling water
- 2 tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 cup salt
- 1 tsp of oil
- Food coloring/Juice
Simply mix all ingredients together. Take caution as it could be hot. Make use of mixing spoon to mix up the ingredients. Once the water has mixed in well, feel with your fingertips to make sure it’s safe to knead with your hands. There’s a tendency for the mixture to be so heavy & difficult to mix with a spoon.

Jason and I even had fun playing with playdough with the girls too!

Nikolette used the table as her art canvas, as she tends to do even with breakfast, lunch and dinner as well! ;)
