Dying Easter Eggs with Shaving Cream

Today we dyed Easter eggs using shaving cream and food coloring. It was very toddler friendly and we loved it.

Here is what we did to dye our Easter eggs using shaving cream.

Things You Will Need

  • Hard Boiled Eggs

  • Can of Shaving Cream
  • Food Coloring
  • Glass bowl or pan with a flat bottom
  • Tooth picks

First you will take your bowl and/or pan and put a 1 inch layer of shaving cream on the bottom. I used a bowl and a pan as I was wanting to do different color combinations.

Then you will take your food coloring (I would suggest only using 2 different color combinations that way you will get a nice mix of colors) put a few drops of color in various spots in the shaving cream.

I did a red and blue combination

and a red and yellow combination

Next you will take a toothpick and swirl the colors around in the shaving cream.

Next you take your hard boiled egg and roll it around in your shaving cream mixture until it is good and coated.

Then place your coated egg on a plate and let it sit for about 30 minutes. If you want your eggs to come out darker then you might want to let them sit for about an hour or longer.
